本展では、画家・福田美菜によるメゾチント版画およびミクストメディア作品、約30点を展示販売いたします。

幼少期より身近な植物に親しみ、美術学校卒業後は花屋で働いていた福田にとって、色とりどりの花々の中でひときわ凛とした存在感を放っていたのがユリの花でした。咲き誇る瞬間とやがて衰える姿は、現在の制作においても重要なモチーフとなっています。

満ち欠けをくり返す月、静かに円を描く月の軌道、そしてユリの盛衰。これらは福田にとって、「変わり続ける時間」と「変わらないもの」を同時に見つめる象徴です。日々の生活の中で忘れがちな静かな時間も、月や花の確かなリズムに触れることで、日常の連続を実感し、救われることがあります。

銅版画作品では、光の変化や時間の循環を静かに描き出し、深い黒の中に永遠と儚さ、変化と持続が共存する世界を表現しています。一方、ミクストメディア作品では、現実から少し離れた「こころの中の楽園」を色彩豊かに形にしました。

本展では、新作に加え、過去の作品も交えながら、時間とともに変化してきた表現を紹介します。作品を通して、忙しい日常の中で忘れがちな「静かな時間」を、ぜひお部屋に迎えていただければと思います。　

This exhibition features approximately 30 mezzotint prints and mixed media works by artist Mina Fukuda, available for purchase.

Having grown up surrounded by plants and worked at a florist after graduating art school, Fukuda was particularly drawn to lilies among the colorful flowers for their striking presence. The moment of full bloom and the subsequent decline remain key motifs in her current work.

The waxing and waning moon, its quiet circular orbit, and the lily’s cycle of bloom and decay. For Fukuda, these symbolize simultaneously observing “ever-changing time” and “that which remains constant.” Even the quiet moments easily forgotten in daily life can be rediscovered and offer solace when touched by the steady rhythm of the moon and flowers, reminding us of the continuity of everyday existence.

In her copperplate prints, she quietly depicts the shifting light and the cycle of time, expressing a world where eternity and transience, change and continuity coexist within deep blacks. Meanwhile, her mixed media works vividly shape a “paradise within the heart,” slightly removed from reality.

This exhibition introduces expressions that have evolved over time, featuring new works alongside past pieces. Through these works, I hope you will welcome the “quiet moments” often forgotten in our busy lives into your space.
